Governance Update with Granville Martin and networking reception

Please join your Chicago Chapter colleagues on Wednesday, September 6th for a Governance Update with Granville Martin, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the Society for Corporate Governance. Prior to joining the Society earlier this year, Granville spent eleven years as Managing Director of Sustainable Finance at JP Morgan Chase, where he advocated and engaged within the public and private sectors.

Granville will share insights on the latest developments from the SEC and Capitol Hill as well as on the rapidly trending topic of ESG initiatives and reporting standards, including SASB and the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures. Additional topics will include updates on the CEO pay ratio rule, legislative reforms (specifically in the areas of shareholder proposals, SEC disclosure and tax), and the Choice Act. Granville will also provide an overview of the Society’s ongoing advocacy efforts on behalf of all members.

This complimentary after-work program will be held at Maggiano's at 516 N. Clark St. on September 6th and will be preceded by a networking reception and the Chapter’s Annual Meeting.
