Hybrid Panel Discussion on Shareholder Engagement: State of Play

Please join the Society for Corporate Governance and Kirkland & Ellis LLP for a complimentary hybrid panel discussion on Shareholder Engagement: State of Play, taking place on Thursday, September 11, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM (Eastern)
 
The program will be held at the offices of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, 601 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY. For those attending in person, check-in will begin at 5:00 PM, and a reception will follow from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. The discussion will also be available virtually via Zoom.
 
Join your peers and our panel representing relevant perspectives from the issuer, institutional investor, and shareholder engagement and activist advisory firm communities for a lively discussion on recent developments in shareholder engagement – and what lies ahead. 

Discussion topics include: 

  • Recent SEC guidance on shareholder engagement
  • Evolving institutional investor voting policies and engagement practices – and what they could mean for the 2026 proxy season
  • How activists are responding to shifts in institutional investor engagement practices
  • Steps companies are taking – or should consider taking – to prepare for the 2026 proxy season
